Call for expression of interest "Initiatives" of the Alliance Sorbonne Université 2025-2029

The Initiative must either develop interdisciplinarity or transversality within an existing theme, or give rise to a new interdisciplinary or transversal theme not yet represented. In all cases, it should promote new interactions between those who are not accustomed to collaborating on research activities. These interactions may also extend to training and/or dissemination and promotion activities. Depending on the communities and the scientific framework in which it takes place, the Initiative may be centered on a single Alliance establishment, or, in the case of Sorbonne University, in a single faculty.

As part of the next 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, the Alliance is setting up new Initiatives that will help structure new communities on original themes not represented in existing Institutes. They must also stand out from the Initiatives set up under the 2019-2024 Strategic Plan. These new Initiatives are the subject of a call for expressions of interest from the Sorbonne University Alliance community. The Initiative project is proposed by one or more researchers or academic researchers who are members of an Alliance institution. This is not an individual research project, but a scientific proposal designed to unite an interdisciplinary community around a research theme within the Alliance. The winning Initiative projects will receive Idex funding for a period of five years, at the end of which the Initiative will come to an end.
