Career pursuit

The doctorate gives access to executive jobs, which require inventiveness and the ability to respond to complex or emerging issues in all socio-economic sectors. Doctors' skills are certified by the RNCP (National Directory of Professional Certifications).

Monitoring the careers of its doctors is essential for Sorbonne University as well as for future doctoral candidates. Thus, Sorbonne University conducts 1-year, 3-year and 5-year surveys on the career status of its Doctors. Some of these surveys have been conducted in partnership with other institutions in the Ile-de-France region and Adoc Talent Management, others by the Sorbonne University Observatoire de l’insertion professionnelle.

The results of these surveys allow us to better understand the career paths of our doctors and to identify the determining factors in the pursuit of their careers and the added value of the doctorate.
