Vision is an important global health challenge, with many afflictions leading to visual defects or blindness. The Vision Institute is a major player in Europe for the study of such afflictions, and highly influential in proposing new therapeutic avenues.
In partnership with UNAM, and more particularly with the Instituto de Oftamologia, many of these interactions lead to bilateral research projects that are at the forefront of their discipline. We will be addressing some of them, with an emphasis on diabetic retinopathies.
