Solidarity with the Academic Community of Afghanistan

Sorbonne University wishes to affirm its solidarity with all teachers, professors, doctoral candidates, students and staff of higher education and research in Afghanistan following the seizure of power by the Taliban.

Faithful to its universalist and humanist traditions, Sorbonne University is ready to welcome all Afghan students and academics to allow them to pursue their studies or research work in safety and freedom, especially women, who risk being the first victims of the new regime.

Rather than engaging in obscurantism, we will do everything possible and rely on PAUSE (the Program of Assistance to the Reception of Scientists in Emergency) to help the higher education and research community of Afghanistan.
