Under French law, a CIFRE agreement is to subsidize any company that hires a PhD student to work on a research project in collaboration with a public laboratory. This partnership is completed with a thesis defense after three years.
This contract offers a privileged working environment between a company and a laboratory. It enables a young researcher to do their doctorate alternately between the company and the laboratory while receiving a salary. In exchange, the company receives a grant from the National Association for Research and Technology (ANRT).
