The Anthropocene Village
The term Anthropocene has been increasingly used since the start of the millennium to refer to a new geological period during which human activities have become a force of significative global change on planet Earth.
Come and meet us from 11 to 25 September
For the fourth year in a row, the Village is organised by the Mission for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility, in collaboration with faculty Student Life services. It aims to raise awareness about sustainable development and the ecological and social transition.
You will find outreach documents and activities by student sustainable development officers, meet associations committed to these questions and get the chance to discuss with speakers.
The village will be on 5 campuses:
- 11 September: at the Welcome Day on the Pierre and Marie Curie campus - 4 place Jussieu 75005 Paris
- 16 September: at the start of the academic year forum on the Clignancourt campus - 2 rue Francis de Croisset 75018 Paris
- 22 September: at the start of the academic year forum on the Malesherbes campus - 108 boulevard Malesherbes 75017 Paris
- 23 September: at the start of the academic year forum on the Pitié-Salpêtrière campus - 105 boulevard de l'hôpital 75013 Paris
- 25 September: at the start of the academic year forum at the Institut d’art et d’archéologie - 3 rue Michelet 75006 Paris
The programme: games, workshops, interactive stands about associations, posters on topics related to society and research, presentations of projects linked to sustainable development.
